Morning #yoga..

put me in a much better mood than I have been lately! Even with the current gloomy weather here in Brooklyn/NYC. Thanks to Yogaglo teacher Jo Tastula’s Morning Wake Up Flow, I was up at 7:30 this morning with plenty of time to bend, stretch, ahh and get a delicious juice in as well. Today the roomie and I had a fresh glass of apple, carrot, celery, kale, lime and spinach juice with a little bit of ginger for a kick- SO good! We’ve set a goal of morning yoga 2-3 times a week and 4-5 times a week overall- I really hope we can stick to it! It might hard with the holiday season and all, but we’re sure going to try!

So it’s been a while…

V and I have been uber busy lately with work and birthdays and impending winter doom. We haven’t had much of a chance to keep up with the Yogi blog. But I’m hoping that will all change soon enough!

If you couldn’t tell by some of our posts/tweets, our main studio is Yoga People in Brooklyn Heights. I love this studio and I love all the teachers I’ve had there, but recently I decided to step away from the studio, save some buck$, and try to create my own practice with the help of a very handy tool called YogaGlo.

YogaGlo is a really cool site that I’ve just started using. My new roommate (and fellow yogi) introduced it to me. It’s an online series of full length HD yoga class videos, ranging from Basic to Ashtanga to Vinyasa to Kundalini and more. They also have plenty of helpful tools like the Beginner Center and the Yoga Pose Library (to help you perfect those tricky asanas).

I started off my 15-day free trial this weekend with a 60min Vinyasa flow class and it was great. I’m definitely on board to pay the $18 a month for unlimited use of the site’s classes. Yes, $18- that’s more than $100 less than the cost of most studios!

Anyway- I hope to be updating you more instead of less and will keep you posted on how YogaGlo is working out. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to check it  out for themselves. It’s perfect for any level Yogi, from advanced to brand new.
